ITT Advanced Engineering and Sciences Division has an opening for a Senior Export Administrator for Washington D.C. Area locations. As a member of the AES Export Compliance Team, this position will implement decisions within AES concerning all aspects of export compliance, including ensuring compliance with internal export processes. The Eastern Area Senior Export Administrator will be an Empowered Official for the programs assigned in the Washington DC area and will be the interface between the Export Department and those programs; good interpersonnel skills are a necessity. This position reports to the Department Manager for Export Compliance. The person must reside in the Washington DC area with the work being near Alexandria, Shirlington, Bowie, Anapolis Junction, and Herndon; moderate travel (roughly 20%) between these and other ITT sites can be anticipated. Scope and Principle Duties: Responsible for working with AES employees, programs, and business development to determine if export licensing is required and ensure that they are obtained in a timely manner. Prepare export documentation, including license applications for signature. Provide guidance on regulations to AES employees. Ensure AES compliance with all US export laws, rules, and regulations and ITT AES policies and procedures. Job Specifications and Work Performed:- Prepares export license applications and transmittal letters, and composes Technical Assistance Agreements and Manufacturing License Agreements as necessary.- Provides guidance to employees for the correct marking of documents.- Manages all routine import matters including tariff classifications, license clearance, and documentation.- Works closely with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure timely shipments and imports. Ensures that all import and export documentation is correct. Follows up after shipments to ensure that licenses are decremented correctly.- Ensures compliance with all licenses and TAAs and provisos with customers, vendors, partners, and AES employees.- Ensures compliance with all regulations by preparing compliance audit criteria and leading and conducting audits with other Trade Compliance personnel.- Tracks status of compliance audits and document.- Monitors discussions and meetings with foreign parties to ensure compliance with all US export laws and regulations and with all export licenses and provisos.- Provides training to new employees, functional training by position, program specific training, license and proviso training, etc. on an on-going basis.- Monitors records of all exports (including defense services) and any exemptions used and ensures that the appropriate documentation has been made correctly.- Assists Export Department with the investigation of potential export violations. - B.S. degree with 5 - 8 years of defense industry experience in export licensing and compliance programs. Have been an Empowered Official or have the experience required to be appointed an Empowered Official. - U.S. citizenship is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.This Job Requires the Following Skills:- Must have a strong working knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations and be familiar with US Customs regulations, OFAC and other government regulatory agencies. - Experience with licensing for defense articles, technical data, and defense services and working with international customers is required. - Have demonstrated ability to make judgments regarding the application of US Export Regulations.- Have demonstrated ability to work as a team player. - Have strong written and verbal communication skills. - Have strong organizational skills including the ability to establish priorities among a wide variety of projects. - Familiarity with automated export systems such as EASE or the ITT implementation TCAS (Trade Compliance Automation Software) RESPOND HERE!
