DescriptionJob Summary: The Service Manager for Operations manages the office operations and coordinates all customer service activities for the Door Center.ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: (Bold statements indicate the most important duties performed) Assists in the monitoring of production to ensure satisfactory customer service expectations are being met. Investigates customers’ complaints involving such matters as damaged items, overcharges, and delay in shipment, and confers with General Manager on necessary adjustment. Directs telephone calls and customer requests. Processes orders and invoices and ensures that Office Assistants do so accurately. Responsible for daily receipts and bank statements. Manages the maintenance of customer files. Manages the maintenance of customer pricing in AS400 system. Provides customer quotes on our product. Directs the activities of Office Assistants. Trains Office Assistants. Assists in coordinating assembly, work schedules (including temporary personnel as needed), and warehousing operations to ensure service leads are met. Assists with meeting weeks of inventory, scrap and damage goals. Assist in production schedules. Assist in the development of an annual Individual Development Plan (IDP) and meet all training targets as spelled out in the IDP and by corporate goals. Perform other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Extended computer use. Extended telephone use. Light lifting (up to 25 pounds). Extended time on feet, walking distances up to 200 feet. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Verbal, written and interpersonal skills. College education or related experience. Organizational, time management and analytical skills. PC / Windows skills. Strong PC skills (various software applications) Ability to handle multiple tasks. Courteous and customer service oriented.
