INVENTORY RETURNS SPECIALIST

 

Location:  Birmingham, AL

 

Reports to:  Birmingham Warehouse Manager

The Inventory Returns Specialist recognizes the efficiencies that result from proper time management and adherence to established procedures.  Duties and Responsibilities  Develop expertise in features and use of distribution management software (Eclipse)Investigate cases of over and under shipped products and close correcting invoices if required.Maintain the returns area and inventory in a neat and organized mannerDevelop knowledge of HGH productsProcess all customer returns for credit by next business day, insuring product is in resalable condition and restock fees, if applicable, are chargedPerform random and immediate stock counts each dayInput shipping errors into Unquality Event Tracking SystemManage defective and damaged inventory and coordinate with vendors and shippers for credit and disposalSort and direct put-away or disposal of returns as stock, clearance store, or trashAudit will-call orders not picked up by customerManage return goods and work queues in Eclipse each dayCommunicate with sales and A/P to insure customer problems and credits are resolved and processed in an expeditious mannerEvaluate and continuously improve customer inventory return processes to maximize productivityFocus all efforts on meeting customer needs and exceeding their expectations with superior service Notify Warehouse or Operations Manager about recommendations or issues with Warehouse organization, processes and safetyAssist Warehouse and Purchasing in investigating problems with products received from vendors Other assignments as deemed necessary by supervision

 

 

 Job Requirements 

 RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentStrong computer skillsTwo years prior work history

 PreferredTwo years warehouse or inventory related experienceExperience with developing computer spreadsheetsOne year experience using distribution management softwareOne year customer service experienceExperience processing customer returns/credit memos DesiredAutomated warehouse experienceEclipse software experienceQuality management trainingTwo years college One year inventory audit/control experienceForklift experience/certification
