Position Description:

JOB SUMMARY: Develops, administers, and maintains credit and collection programs for assigned region in accordance with PSC policies, practices and procedures to reduce receivables. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Recommends appropriate credit limits for potential customers in accordance with credit policies. * Monitors customers’ accounts to ensure compliance with established credit criteria.* Directly interacts with operations support at all levels including Sales. Develops and maintains close working relations with customers, billing clerks and customer service representatives in the field and, sales/operation personnel and management.* Monitors collection activity for a large range of customers on multiple financial systems and front–end billing applications. * Manages delinquent accounts in a systematic fashion until problems are resolved and/or the account is collected. * Manages service level expectations of a third party collection and cash management team, to ensure the division is receiving the anticipated return on the monthly investment.* Develops and implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables.* Provides periodic and ad hoc reporting to ensure timely collection, resolution of problems and compliance with applicable policies and regulations and to keep management informed. * Works on special projects as assigned. * Performs other duties as assigned.SCOPE: * Number of accounts: 1,000 –1,500 accounts* Type of Accounts:o Nationalo Regionalo Local* Receivable dollar responsibility :$6 -7 Million; Average invoice $175 - $300.* No. of people supervised: 3 two through outsourced Collection and Cash Management Group and one internal cash applications specialist.* No. of indirect reports: 20 + billing clerks and customer support representatives MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:* Days of Sales Outstanding (DSO)* Over 60 day accounts as a % and dollar value* Number of write-offs during the year.EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:* Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE:* 5 or more years credit and collection experienceDEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:* Ability to analyze financial statements, o determine credit risk using multiple financial ratios, Dun & Bradstreet analytical reports, SEC reports and other documentation to determine adherence to the credit criteria established. * Fluency with JDE One World, CPower and Oracle 11i a plus* Well developed telephonic customer interaction skills and abilities* Sound teamwork and collaboration skills including strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and team facilitation skills.* Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills* Well developed interpersonal skills to build relationships* Ability to develop solutions to resolve account problems * Strong planning and organization skills* Ability to prioritize to meet multiple deadlines* Flexibility to operate in an ambiguous environment* Well-developed analytical skills* Exceptional leadership abilities* Fluency with Microsoft applications* Well-developed ability to build positive relationships and handle conflict resolutionWORKING CONDITIONS:* Some travel required – less than 10%
