Position Purpose:

Responsible for the proper Operation of the truck scales, weighing and grading incoming scrap material and the out going non-ferrous material.

Essential Job Functions:Weigh trucks coming into the yard using the truck scale and computer system. To obtain correct weight of incoming steel scrap material and out going non-ferrous and Propat®.Generate proper paperwork for shipments leaving the yard and monitor the Radiation Equipment. Inspects scrap for quality and give each customer a tracking ticket that goes to the inspector in the yard for verification of quality. Directs trucks to the proper stockpile in the yard for unloading.

Operates 2nd scale for shipments and scale 3  to verify weight of material delivered from rail cars and weighs certain material being loaded on the ships when necessary.

Records weight of material received from feeder yards fax daily the inter Co. receiving reports to the feeder yards to reconcile inter co. shipments with receipts by P N .

The employee may be assigned to special projects or required to perform other duties not listed above, which may vary from time to time as determined by management, to meet Company needs.

Qualifications:Work/school history evidencing attendance and dependability. High School diploma or GED Certification.  College degree or Associates Degree desired. Keyboarding and some computer knowledge 2-5 years business experience in a fast-paced working envirnment required.Cash handling and dispatch experience preferred. Must be able to maintain good relations with customers.  Must be able to work under pressure and be trustworthy.  Excellent attendance and punctuality required.  Must be able to work overtime and some weekends.Must have valid driver's license.Must have personal vehicle to travel to various company facilities as needed or required.
