Travel Coordinator
TRAVEL COORDINATOR
SUMMARY
Arranges travel services for organization staff by performing the following duties personally.Receives travel requests via Customer Support reporting, email, phone or walk up.Within policy guidelines, determines appropriate transportation, accommodations and/or other travel details required for domestic and international business travel.Ensures travel policy guidelines are followed.Consults published and computer sources to analyze and evaluate commercial rates, lowest logical air fares, times, routings, and appropriate car rentals.Uses computerized reservation and ticketing systems to book transportation and hotel reservations, and issue itineraries.Provides itineraries, using computer system or system link to travel carrier.Ensures all reservations are confirmed prior to travel.Prepares management reports and/or reviews travel vendor provided reports.Evaluates, negotiates, selects, and procures vendor services.Monitors vendor performance to ensure quality service.Administers visa process for all travelers requiring visa assistance.Serves as general resource for travelers, and researches problems and resolves issues.

· Computer literate including proficiency with Microsoft office suite and travel related systems
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Must exercise good judgment and decision making
· Proven customer service orientation
· Ability to prepare travel reports/analysis
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Three or more years experience with airline reservation systems in a corporate travel department or travel agency.
· Experience with visa processes preferred
