INTERMODAL TERMINAL MANAGER

 

TRANSInternational System, Inc., a 33 year old Ohio based

Intermodal Transportation Company with terminals in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago, Atlanta, Savannah and Jacksonville is looking for a great person to join our winning team and help us open our next terminal in Norfolk, VA.

 

The Ideal Candidate must be highly motivated, results oriented self starter and requires a strong Intermodal Transportation and Terminal Operations Background. They must possess demonstrated P & L responsibility, Computer skills, a strong leadership background and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

 

 

Duties include:

 

Managing daily operations

Dispatch duties, day and night (where applicable)

Customer service

Payroll

Billing

Scheduling

Safety

Per diem

Recruiting and retaining Owner Operators / Partners

Maintain growth in revenue

 

Position REQUIREMENTS:

 

College degree preferred or 5-6 years related experience in Intermodal terminal operations

Possess industry knowledge needed to work with complex logistical issues

Knowledge of regulations governing:

Trucking Industry and Intermodal transportation

Related employment laws

Strong computer skills

Ability to work in a UNIX / Linux computer environment

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Able to work independently in a fast paced and demanding environment

Ability to hire train and motivate employees

Well organized

Time management skills

Customer service background

Able to communicate professionally and effectively

Professionalism in interactions with employees and vendors

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Committed and focused in daily approach to business

Attention to bottom line
