Individual will utilize various pieces of material handling equipment such as pallet movers, standup forklifts, swing-reach trucks, and order pickers.Tasks & Accountabilities: Transports shipments and materials to and from receiving area, staging area, or other area as designated. Sorts and places shipments and or materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to destination. Build up and maximize airline containers and pallets. Load and unloads vans, strait trucks and tractor-trailers. Inspect shipment for damage, overage or shortage and notes on truck pro. Performs pick and pack assembly on shipments as needed. Assembles shipments from storage area and prepares for export. Marks and labels shipments with identifying information. Takes weight and measurement of each shipment received, and prepares on-hand notice. Enters shipment information into DHL system as required. Prepares bills of lading as needed. Drives forklift to transport shipments within warehouse and in and out of trucks. Operates other warehouse equipment such as pallet jack and hand truck as needed.Qualifications: Generally 1-2 years warehouse operations experience. HS diploma or GED required. Please be advised that this warehouse is subject to a Collective Bargaining Agreement and as such new associates will also be subject to the Agreement. This is a part time position. The Am Shift is 6:00 am - 9:00 am. The PM shift is 9 pm -12 am.
