Job Title: Operations Specialist Job Description: The Operations Specialist provides administrative support to Route Managers and the District ManagerThis position assists in coordinating all aspects of daily operations, including recording and reporting data. The Operations Specialist also assists in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues. Responsibilities: Responsible for support of district manager, route managers, and driving staff. Communicates with other supervisors and managers about operations. Uses software tools to manage a variety of tasks, such as procurement, time and attendance, safety incidents, and contract labor. Schedules and coordinates driver and helper meetings (e.g., Safety, Service Machine). Assists in the implementation of operational projects as needed. Creates and distributes letters of communication to employees. Create and distribute manager itineraries. Communicates with customers about service issues as needed. Communicates with employees about scheduling and work assignments as needed. Communicates with insurance adjusters concerning all incident claims. Assist Route Mangers with Kronos timekeeping system Works closely with Human Resources and payroll as needed. Maintains OSHA standards. Maintains DOT files Organizes and scheduled events within district. Administers pre-hire & new-hire paperwork and assists with on-boarding requirements Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements (Education, certification, licensure, and experience that is essential to success in the position Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. College degree preferred Proficiency using computer applications to record, analyze, and report information Ability to problem solve and think critically Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Proven ability to multi-taskWork experience in the waste, environmental services, energy, or transportation industry, preferred.
