Load Planner

 

Purpose (End Results):Ensure real-time data integrity within all operating systems by complying with all company policies and proceduresConsistently execute all tactical initiatives for load coverageProvide internal and external customers outstanding service through friendly, productive, efficient and accurate assistanceUtilizing job specific Standard Operating Procedures and tools

 

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesComplete load assignment process by complying with Standard Operating ProceduresCommunicate load readiness to the Capacity ProvidersPromote a positive relationship with Capacity Providers - by being responsive, respectful and supportive, resulting in improved retention potentialImmediate escalation of issues to Greatsupport center Management and co-workersBuilds loads in the system that failed to come across EDI, or manual entry locationsMaintain system integrity on all changes made to loads by the customerReceives notification from customer of load completion, enters trailer numbers into system and prints paperwork direct to terminalFacilitate repowering of tractor breakdownsEnsure all required internal and external reporting is completed accurately and on time Document all exceptions to normal operations in pass down form for co-workers, Terminal Manager, and Greatsupport center ManagerEfficient use of phone system ensuring all calls are handled in a timely,

  professional, courteous mannerBasic understanding of Hours of Service regulationsFlexibility to work various shifts.

   

 

Qualifications (Education and Experience)Associates degree or work equivalent with basic computer skills and ability to

  multi-task while interacting with others in a fast paced environmentBasic Computer skills to include: Excel, Word, Outlook, and data entryCandidate must be organized and able to understand transportation rules

  and regulations3+ years of direct customer service experience preferably related to

  transportation or logisticsCandidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
