Intermodal Customer Service / Dispatcher
Intermodal Cartage, Co, Inc. is seeking experienced customer service representatives and dispatchers to join our growing Houston office.
Primary Purpose: Plans the daily/weekly work schedule of drivers to maximize freight coverage in a timely and cost efficient manner. Communicate and distribute appointment dates/times to IMC drivers; owner operators and/or fleet. Communicate and coordinate between all IMC locations to maximize drivers’ time. Assist drivers with any equipment issues, detention time, rail billing, and any additional requests made of driver.
Skills Required:
Must be bi-lingual in Spanish and English. Data entry skills; Good communication and organizational skills, previous intermodal or SSL experience a plus.
Knowledge Required:
DOT Regulations; Hazardous Materials; Computer literate; Ability to multi-task
