 After-hours Consolidator Specialist

Position Description

 

 

Requirements & Objectives

· Minimum of 5 years of Travel and Consolidator experience.

· Excellent Skills in the following areas:  Follow-up, Organization, Analytical, Flexibility, Customer Service, good decision making capabilities, Written and Verbal communication, Time Management skills. 

· Must have excellence attendance and punctuality.

· Must be a positive team player.

· Must demonstrate Professional Behavior.

· Operate within company standards in the areas of customer service, productivity, quality standards and operating procedures.

· Thorough knowledge of the travel industry including proficiency on the applicable CRS systems. Proper utilization of CRS System to help improve company commitment to the vendor.

· Utilize preferred vendors to maximize profit for the company.

· The ability to solve problems and make fact based decisions.

· Sabre proficiency.

· Ticketing proficiency.

· Email proficiency.

· Ability to work evening, nights and weekends from your home office.

· Strong English language skills and ability to communicate effectively. German language skills is a plus but not requiredCapability to work from home.  Personal residence must be able to utilize a DSL or Cable modemGerman language skills is a plus but not required

Job DutiesResearch Consolidator opportunities for corporate accountsProvide alternative options for consolidator tickets and published faresIssue tickets Prompt response (generally within 60 minutes of client request)Use creative ability in identifying options for the lowest fare or improved routing

 

 

 

 

Department Objectives / Tasks 

· Assist peers and work together as a team.

· Stay fully informed and abreast of all airline rules and regulations and other industry requirements and accurately apply this information when making travel arrangements.

· Attend training as required to increase knowledge and skills.

· Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure quality of work.

· Keep Manager promptly and fully informed of all matters of significance.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

· When slow, offer ideas to contribute in other ways and be open to opportunities and tasks that may require your assistance in other parts of our company.
