Accounting Specialist - A/R

SCOPE:

 

Individual will be responsible for accessing, processing and posting all cash, check, credit card, wireless check, and bank wires for JK Moving and Storage, Inc.  Along with the posting of payments, candidate will be responsible for maintaing the automated monthly credit cards storage system.  Secondary roles will include serving as a back-up to the collections department as well as others in the A/R Dept. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High School Diploma

Strong basic Math Skills

Must be very organized and detail oriented

Must be able to meet deadlines 

Good computer skills

Fast typing rate desirable

Previous A/R or A/P experience

Industry Experience is a big plus.

A POSITIVE ATTITUDE IS A MUST

Government or Military A/R Experience helpful

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 



Retrieving data from multiple websites and applications in order to process payments

Posting payments for multiple business divisions and locations

Maintaining the monthly credit card based storage database, both hard copy and via Internet

Making adjustments to help maintain clean A/R and collection balances

Helping to process sales representatives commissions on a weekly basis
