Transportation Operations Leader

Summary/Responsibilities of this position:

This position will be located at the Corpus Christi Retail Support Center and report to the Senior Facility Leader of Delivery Operations in San Antonio. The individual is accountable for the daily operational performance of the facility, which includes maintaining great Partner relations, excellent customer service, prudent expense control, and a safe & sanitary facility. The position achieves these expectations by providing leadership and development to Team Leaders, Partners and coordinating with other entities within the supply chain. Major functions include facilitating plans and quality processes that support the future direction & vision, mobilizing Partner commitment, coordinating staffing & planning, developing organizational capability, and demonstrating personal character.

Requirements:Bachelor's degree (preferred).Minimum of three years of distribution/transportation management experience or five years of relevant leadership experience.Knowledge and compliance in related areas: Industry, OSHA, EEOC, and Employment Law.Knowledge of financial reports respective to one functional area.Posses a strategic business focus (innovative and conceptual).Proven ability to successfully coach and develop other leaders.Proven ability to develop high performance work teams.Advanced written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated experience with presentations to superiors, peers and subordinates.Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with Partners at all levels, areas, and backgrounds.Highly motivated and uses good judgment.Demonstrated experience in process improvement iniciatives.Knowledge of WMS/PICS, YARD SMART/Transportation Management Systems and/or Supply Chain experience in other areas (preferred).Ability to understand and use computer applications (MS Office package).Position located in Corpus Christi, incumbent must be able to relocate.
