JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



·         Demonstrate ‘Fanatical and Passionate customer service, freight tracking and data entry skills and be prepared to do “whatever it takes” to insure accurate detail data communication to CSR for resolve of customer issues and service excellence.

·         Perform all tracking and data entry for specified regions, monitor current shipment activity to process and report results.

·         Ensure all customer orders of freight are Apex system tracked and data entered timely and accurately to POD completion.

·         Ensure accurate communication, tracking and data input of special handling requirements specific to equipment/hazmat, packing, pickup/delivery, COD, etc., to ensure billing accuracy.

·         Proactively monitor “hot items,” perform freight tracking and ensure accurate detail data input status.

·         Maintain operating reports, files and process standards for management review.

·         Professionally and efficiently maintain continuous freight tracking updates and provide management feedback as required.

·         Verifies data accuracy to ensure ‘Everybody Wins,’ both internal operations and customer accounts.

·         Identify potential service issues and proactively work to ensure clearly documented to Apex freight tracking system for others to coordinate on-time delivery and to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

·         Provide continuous communication and freight data system input to ensure service requirements and/or service issues are resolved through CSR to customer’s satisfaction. 

·         Utilize Apex data base tools to effectively perform in the role of a tracker.

·         Actively ‘Look at Tomorrow Today,’ participating in employee suggestion recommendation to process improvement.

·         Process customer freight order request movements and insure daily input of all tracking data to Apex system in support of both CSR and operations routing.

·         The ‘Difference is Fun,’ establish and maintain interpersonal relationships, information sharing, developing and building skills within teams and participation in company events.

·         Accurately document all shipment updates within the Pegasus database, to insure real-time online availability of shipment information utilizing tracking status. 

·         ‘It’s Not for Everyone…It’s Only for the Best,’ will challenge each tracker to perform at the highest standards and to ensure our customer experience is Simply the Best.

·         Proactively notify the CSR, Pegasus Sales Team and all affected parties in the event of a service issue.

·         Partner with the operations and PDG group to ensure all freight tracking data is being updated accurately and timely.

·         Always maintain a polite and courteous Can Do Winning attitude.

·         Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested, i.e. reports, file record maintenance, etc.

·         Participate in cross training and continuous skills development.

 





Job Requirements:

 

·         High School Diploma

·         Proficient with Microsoft Office

·         Knowledgeable of freight operating system

·         1-2 Years of Freight Tracking experience preferred

·         Data Entry skills a must

·         Strong written and verbal skills

·         Maintain schedule and attendance commitment

·         May require working a non-standard work week

·         Ability to proactively work with agent and carriers to build a strong working relationship
