Inbound Document Clerk

SUMMARY:

The inbound documentation clerk works within the customer service group to establish vessel files for the vessel coordinators maintain allocations and handles the IW direct manifesting. This position is located in Sumner, WA

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø  Effectively communicate with customer service group and internal/external customers via phone or email.

Ø  Manage Target unallocated report on a daily basis.

Ø  Handle manual allocations/reallocations instructions from Target.

Ø  Prepare vessel files; identify discrepancies against EDI data, US customs and TLS.

Ø  Create the vessel assignment log

Ø  Manage the IW and IPI container manifesting and movement notifications.  

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education and Experience:  Minimum one year experience desired in customer service environment.

 

 

Competencies, Working Skills and Attributes: 

· Must possess excellent customer service skills with the ability to grasp extensive knowledge while dealing with a variety of people.

· Must have strong organizational and time management skills.

· Must have the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

· Must be able to work independently

· Must be proficient in excel

 

 

Communication Skills:  Ability to read, analyze and interpret verbal and written requests and directions.  Must have the ability to compose emails and other written documentation clearly and concisely.  Be able to present one’s self in a highly cooperative and professional manner with both internal and external customers and vendors.

 

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals. Be able to convert between metric and standard measurments. 

 

Reasoning Abilities: Keen ability to assess situations, perform root cause analysis, and provide solutions.  Ability to think things through and develop processes that contribute to enhanced organizational efficiency.
