Crew Caller
SUMMARY
Call scheduled and unscheduled crews for duty, request and distribute track bulletins, arrange crew transportation and keeps time records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
1. Organize and coordinate crew calling operations.
2. Notifies workers of assignments, establishes availability, and assigns crew when needed based on contractual agreements.
3. Keeps records of departures and returns for crews or workers for each trip.
4. Maintains Hours of Service status
5. Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Associates degree or higher preferred. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work rules agreements, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES
Must be able to type 30 words per minute, as demonstrated by test.
