Warehouse Technician Distribution CenterOCCUPATION:Equipment Operations POSITION OVERVIEW: JOB SUMMARYWith limited direct supervision, responsible for maintaining secure inventory storage and control.  Performs duties associated with storage, shipping and receiving of equipment and supplies from distribution center to multiple system warehouses located in the states they support.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONContribute to the Company vision of being the industry leader in customer service through quality, commitment, courtesy and teamwork Maintain inventory in a secured place within the warehouse; adhere to inventory control procedures to assure safe storage of inventory and accurate inventory countsDistribute and document supplies and equipment upon issuance of authorized requests; prepare inventory for shipments; document quantities shippedPerform receiving function for all incoming inventory; compare paperwork to assure actual inventory received is consistent with packing slips; prepare receiving reportAdvanced warehouse concepts such as; consolidation of inventory within the facility to minimize multiple locations for the same items, replenishment of picking locations from bulk storage locations, and setup/maintenance of bin locations within the inventory module to systemically track inventory movement through the facilityAssure warehouse and surrounding areas are neat and orderly at all timesPerform periodic physical inventory countsAssist with vehicle maintenancePerform other duties as requested by supervisorPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSA.  Skills/Abilities and KnowledgeAbility to adhere to Local, Federal regulations and Company policiesAbility to bend and lift (materials) from floor level to a height of 6 ft. to place them on shelves/on and off vehicles/list other locationsAbility to comply with safety proceduresAbility to drive Company vehicle in a safe and responsible mannerAbility to implement simple record keeping proceduresAbility to lift up to 70 lbs.Ability to operate appropriate computer associated with positionAbility to operate forklift, pallet jack and other customary warehouse equipmentAbility to prioritize and organize effectivelyAbility to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional mannerAbility to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, billing software, etc.)Ability to work in stationary position seated and standing for extended periods of timeAbility to work independently Knowledge and ability to use the following office equipment: computer, telephone, copier, fax, calculator, stapler, and send and receive e-mailKnowledge of basic mathematics Vision ability: close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focusB.  Education (level and type)High School Diploma or equivalentC.  Related Work Experience                                    Number of Years/MonthsWarehouse or Inventory Control work experience                  6 monthsD.  Certifications and/or LicensesValid driver's license, satisfactory driving record within Company required standards and auto insuranceWORKING CONDITIONSExposure to dust, dirt, noise, insects, cleaning solutionsWork and travel in inclement weatherExposure to fluctuating indoor temperaturesExposure to periodic high noise levels Send This Link To A Friend
