Job ID: 153244Position Description: Job Description: Research network, business, fraud, and other operational information needs using a call detail record data warehouse and other databases containing network information and metrics. Correlate data from various database sources to generate reports that answer corporat information needs. Present report directly from databases or design a data feed to an external system. Work directly with senior executives in fulfilling national or regional initiatives.Required Education: BS or BA with preference for an Information Technology degree.Required Experience: Expert knowledge in complex SQL queries of very large multi-terabyte databases. Programming experience in Oracle PL/SQL and a scripting language such as Korn Shell or Perl. Experience in requirements gathering with good documentation skills Experience in general application design. For example: design a Business Objects interface that queries a database Firm general knowledge of the wireless telecommunications infrastructure (GSM/UMTS/GPRS/SS7) For example: What is an IMEI? what can you do with it? Ability to work on multiple projects Excellent oral and written communication / inter-personal / presentation skills and an ability to express complex technical concepts and interface with senior leadership Excellent interpersonal skills necessary for optimal teamwork and coordination with cross-functional teams Flexibility and willingness to work extra hours in support of problem resolution/follow-up Qualifications:Desirable Experience:Experience in network, handset, or wireless traffic performance statistics Experience in Fraud tracking, 911 research, inventory tracking, inter-carrier billing, marketing Knowledge of statistical methodologies/tools Business Objects development Tuning of SQL queries Highly motivated in helping resolve national and regional network and business challenges such as churn, call and network performance, or inter-carrier negotiations by data analysis.
