Comcast Cable West Division

Responsible for monitoring and development of operational effectiveness of system. Manages all functions of the financial close process, including oversight of Accounts Payable, Cash Reconciliation, Payroll, CPE Analysis, and Purchasing functions with direct responsibility for the warehouse and the management of its personnel. Assists cross functional management team with responsibility for Asset Management. Monitors system internal controls to assure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

MAJOR DUTIES:
Development and analysis of key operational metrics.

Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure safeguarding of cash transactions and revenue adjustments.

Oversee Accounts Payable, approval process, and ensure compliance with corporate policies.

Drive implementation and acceptance of standardized programs, models and initiatives to improve financial performance and accuracy.

Analyze business operations to ensure proper accounting treatment and provide suggestions for business improvement.

Tracking of expenses and pro-active identification of cash flow improvements.

Review of monthly P&L, provide monthly analysis of results, and prepare variance explanations.

Assist in the annual budgeting and the monthly P&L forecasting process.

Review collections performance, bad debt, and partner with collections team to optimize results through implementation of effective collection guidelines.

Review and ensure accuracy of franchise fee payments and annual copyright returns.

Ensure that proper month-end reports are filed timely and accurately.

Responsible for managing the Purchase Card (P-Card) program.

Respond to regional, divisional and corporate needs regarding financial information, inventory control, and business assurance on a timely basis.

Use computer models to track financial and subscriber goals and progress, communicates results and provides recommendations to improve performance.

Review and monitor balance sheet reconciliations.

Ensure compliance with the processes and standards identified by corporate financial policies.

Communicate effectively with all levels of the work force. Contribute to the overall success of team leadership efforts by assisting peers and working collaboratively across the organization.

Manage and develop warehouse staff.

Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA strongly preferred).
Five years' experience including budgetary management and planning; minimum of three years experience in cable business operations and two years in a supervisory role.
Public Accounting expereince a plus (CPA strongly preferred).
Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with ability to plan and prioritize work under pressure and timely completion of multiple work assignments with minimal supervision.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.,
