Business Services Account Executive- Richmond, VA

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for selling broadband and data services (High Speed Internet, Teleworker, Fiber, VOIP, etc.), to commercial customers. MAJOR DUTIES (May perform any or all of the following duties): Successfully sell broadband and data services to various Commercial Accounts, including small offices, office parks, bars/restaurants, retail establishments, etc. Seeks new customers by continuous prospecting (door-to-door canvas, appointment or referral solicitation in assigned territory). Maintain and increase sales volume from established accounts. Maintain pre-established activity and sales quotas. Secure renewal opportunities with new contracts. Systematically review assigned territory to insure all commercial accounts are contacted on a prescribed, periodic basis. Assist departmental coordinators in developing and maintaining commercial project status reports, maintaining accurate sales/service records, and customer activity records. Report to the office on a regular basis and actively maintain voice mail and e-mail accounts. Participate and contribute to team meetings. Perform other duties as necessary to help meet goals. Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

Required Skills:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Business or sales management or equivalent combination of work experience and education. 1-3 years experience in a sales environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous sales experience in data, high speed internet or similar field. Proven sales and negotiation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to act independently, self-motivated, professional appearance. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to use personal computer effectively in Excel, Word and other MS Office applications.
