Company Brief: Our client is the technology leader in sales force deployment software, offering consulting services and software products that address the sales and marketing challenges of Fortune 1000 companies. Started in the mid 1980's, they provide a suite of complimentary services and products that address the full sales force deployment process, from account profiling, promotional response and sales force sizing to territory optimization, territory realignment, and call scheduling or zoning. A small company with large company benefits, they seek a Sr. QA Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the overall quality of our clients next generation of software systems.  This position is now open!

 

Job Description: Reporting to the Director, Software Development, you will be an accomplished Quality Assurance professional well versed in developing and implementing test plans as well as leading their efforts to automate testing down to the module level.  You will define and track QA metrics including defect densities and open defect counts.  The Sr. QA Engineer will assist in the software implementation process to include coding and maintenance.  The ability to develop software specifications and architecture is required.  Our client develops systems using C++, C#, .Net 2.0, Java, and their Web server environments include IIS and Apache.  Exposure to data warehouses, preferably spatially enabled, with back-end engines using either Oracle, SQL or mySQL is desired as is experience with desktop or Web-based GIS development systems like MapInfo, MapX, MapXtreme, Envinsa or ESRI ArcGis Server or Engine is also desired.  The candidate we seek will have a track-record of developing and implementing and implementing a sound QA plan.  An annual base compensation from $80k to $110k depending upon experience and credentials may be offered. Minimum Qualifications: Computer Science or Software Engineering DegreeWeb application or client/server developmentDeveloping/Implementing QA methodologies & automated QA testing,Previous experience establishing and tracking test results and metricsExperience coding/maintaining systems written in C++ and C# Test and analysis of algorithm design

Preferred Qualifications:ASP.Net, XML, Java, Java Script, Ajax, .NET; mySQL, SQL Server;GIS systems: MapInfo, MapX, MapXtreme, Envinsa or ESRI ArcGis Server
