PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT/NURSE PRACTITIONER
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:Help On Assignment be a leader in the healthcare industry by fulfilling our current Permanent, Full-Time opening for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. This opportunity will involve working for a GI clinic on the South side of Milwaukee where the work schedule either consists of 36-40 hours/week or a possible 4, 10hr/work day work week. The ideal candidate will possess at least 2 years of PA or NP experience; GI experience is a plus but not necessarily a requirement. Job Duties: Performs comprehensive & interval history & physcial exams of patients with acute & chronic gastrointestinal problems Identifies differential diagnoses, assesses the severity of the patients illnesses & establishes priorities of care for the presenting problem Assists in the development of a treatment plan & appropriate follow -up care Educates the patient about the diagnosis & treatment plan Writes prescriptions per established GIA protocol Assists with percutaneous gastrostomy tube placements Orders, interprets & evaluates diagnostic testsQualifications: Bachelors Degree Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program PA's must be NCCPA certified or eligible & licensed or eligible for licensure by the Medical Examing Board in WI DEA # CPR certifiedOn Assignment is the premier provider of temporary and permanent assignments for all healthcare professionals including dental, nursing, allied, diagnostic imaging, clinical lab, and medical clerical.
