Summary
Consult with division, team, and business unit managers to develop plans for effective integrated marketing communications programs tailored to each market segment or team. These plans include direct mail, journal ads, tradeshows, sales collateral, tie-ins to the central website, e-mail and web advertising, job boards, and more. Allocate marketing communications budget among these teams.
Collaborate with other team members and the VP of Marketing and Strategy to help implement VISTA Staffing Solutions corporate marketing programs including website development, pay-per-click campaigns, search engine optimization, journal advertising, exhibits, job fairs, in-service presentations, e-mail marketing, collateral development, public relations, employee communications, parent-company communications, and brand building.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for marketing communications programs and projects.
Work with division/business unit leaders and the sales force to help them meet revenue objectives through marketing communications programs. Build, maintain and promote integrated marketing communication programs through all activities.
Prepare and monitor an annual marketing communications budget.
Manage the development, production, and analysis of direct mail and e-mail marketing efforts. Clean and code data, from both in-house and purchased sources. Ensure corporate compliance with list purchase copyright laws, direct mail opt-out issues, and the CAN-SPAM act.
Collaborate on projects for online marketing efforts, including search engine optimization, online advertising, online job boards, web site updates, etc.
Collaborate on research, development, and implementation of the annual media plan. Guide agency in research and development and in identifying target audiences and ideal media outlets for specific teams.
Work with outside vendors, including ad agency, mail house, printer, online printer/design firms, traditional and online list brokers, and other vendors as necessary for marketing communications programs. Research, recommend, and purchase sales tools, marketing resources, lists, etc.
Perform data collection, research, ROI analysis, and report development for marketing, the company, divisions, business units, and individual teams.
Write, edit, produce, and proofread marketing communication materials as needed.
Provide responsive customer service to internal and external customers.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent.
Five years of experience planning, developing, distributing, and measuring integrated marketing communications programs.
Specific experience with direct mail (targeting, directing creative, overseeing production, purchasing lists, coordinating mailing, measuring results), email (overseeing creative development, purchasing lists, overseeing distribution, measuring results), journal ads, job boards, and web site management.
Strong writing and editing skills. Be prepared to provide samples.
Planning and budgeting skills.
Must be highly proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to manage multiple projects and work well in a deadline-oriented environment.
Must be willing to mentor and share expertise with team members.
Must be willing to sign an employment agreement.
