Corporate Law Attorney

Description:1) Serves as a member of the Corporate Law Team reporting to the Director of Corporate Law (North America) and providing legal counsel to the Chief Legal Officer, senior management and other clients regarding a variety of corporate law matters (e.g., client contracts, acquisitions and legal compliance). 2) Reviews, drafts, and negotiates client contracts. 3) Interprets legislation, regulations and case law, primarily as they relate to client contracts. 4) Works with Director of Corporate Law to develop and deliver training and other presentations related to client contracts and corporate law. 5) Partners with other practice groups in the Legal Department to continually assess and improve every aspect of the delivery of legal services in line with the company's Vision.Qualifications:Serves as a member of the Corporate Law Team for the Companys North American operations. Juris doctor degree from an accredited law school. Minimum of three (3) years experience as a corporate law attorney in a law firm or as in-house counsel. Ability to develop excellent rapport with internal and external clients. Proficient in reviewing, drafting and negotiating client and vendor contracts. Solid project management and research skills. Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in analyzing routine and complex legal issues in a variety of corporate law areas. Proficient in preparing written opinions on complex legal issues. Proficient in making presentations to and communicating with clients, executive officers and other audiences. Some experience working with employment laws beneficial.
