Technical Field Representative - Charlotte, NC

As a Tech Rep, you will serve as the key link between New Balance and specialty retail accounts, including Elite dealers, family shoe stores, select regional and national retailers, and New Balance stores. You will be responsible for training and educating store personnel on the technology, features, and benefits of New Balance footwear and apparel. Working as an extension of the sales, product, and marketing departments, you will collect market data and complete assignments in the field. In this role, you will work in a cross-functional team environment supporting internal projects and the independent New Balance sales representatives in your region. You will develop, plan and execute assignments to provide exceptional account service to your retailers. You will provide detailed reports on market conditions, products, merchandising and promotions. You will participate in expos, races and other grassroots promotions. College degree or equivalent and 2 to 3 years of specialty retail experience required. Strong interest/background in athletics a plus. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Frequent travel required, including nights and weekends. Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required. Self-motivation, creativity, and organization are a must in this role.
