Staff Accountant Needed at Media Company

 

Now Hiring for Staff Accountant

 

Our client is a media company with an emphasis in sports. They are based in Chelsea, Manhattan and have a fun and exciting culture. They are currently seeking a senior accountant to join their team. This position is ideal for someone out of public accounting who is seeking a better work life balance and interested in exploring corporate opportunities.

 

Responsibilities:

 

- Perform month-end close responsibilities including generation of journal entries and account  reconciliations

- Assist in monthly and quarterly reporting to Corporate

- Balance Sheet and P&L variance analysis

- Assist in quarterly SOX compliance testing

- Support migration of systems and accounting processes

- Ad hoc reporting and projects

 

Requirements:

 

- BS in Accounting

- 2 plus years of public accounting experience

- Proficient in Microsoft Office

- Basic knowledge of GAAP

- Strong communication skills

- Ability to meet deadlines

- Team player
