Product Development Engineer

Job Summary: Design and develop products for the residential and commercial cardiovascular fitness industry.  This will include new product development as well as improvement to existing designs. 

Essential Functions:Lead cross-functional teams in the product development process of new products.Ensure new products are engineered with appropriate structure, power transmission components, and materials for smooth and reliable machines.Incorporate Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly principles into new products.Direct prototype shop resources in the creation of conceptual models.Manage CAD resources to complete Solid Works models and drawings for accurate BOM and transfer to production.Evaluate existing designs to improve features, reduce costs, and raise quality.Coordinate with marketing/sales department to insure market driven features are integrated into final designs.Create Power Point presentations to communicate status of projects to all levels of the company

Qualifications:5 to 7 years experience in bringing new products to market.Experience in machine design, linkage design and power transmission preferred.Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have analytical thought processMust be proficient in Word, Excel, and Power PointExperience with Solid Works is a plus

Education:Mechanical Engineering DegreeTechnical degree and equivalent experience will be considered
