Carlsbad, CA 92008Status:   Full Time, Employee Job Category:   IT/Software Development Relevant Work Experience:   2+ to 5 Years Career Level:   Experienced (Non-Manager) NETWORK ENGINEER Job Summary This position will be required to provide day-to-day network administration. The position includes monitoring the existing environment, performing routine hardware maintenance and support, and coordinating ongoing upkeep of our networking data closets and network components located in data centers. It will also provide technical expertise in area of troubleshooting and problem solving.    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Assist in the installation, configuration and maintenance of networking hardware, firewall hardware, hardware operating systems, network monitoring applications, and firewall applications  Maintain and monitor network routers, switches, and firewall devices  Provide assistance or administer network installations and upgrade/break-fix issues  Performs day-to-day maintenance and monitoring for the corporate network and works with and/or directs vendors, and assists in the review of vendor products  Produce, follow, and enforce standards to deliver stable, reliable, and highly available network solutions  Develop, follow and ensure best practices are followed for network system stability  Demonstrate effective and collaborative communication with internal team members, service providers, and technology partners  Debug potential network performance or other network system anomalies (i.e. problem resolution)  Work with other IT teams and technology partners to develop scalable solutions to improve efficiencies in system integrity  Adhere to day to day support policies and procedures including but not limited to the Change Management Process and Enhancement Request Process  Communicate status on outstanding network related issues and/or project tasks to management   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Minimum of 4 years of related experience  Advanced level proficiency in X86 systems, network infrastructure, and/or network configuration  Multi-task on projects with the ability to prioritize tasks in global environment  Advanced level network administrative skills with emphasis on Cisco networks Job Requirements: Education and/or Experience:  Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree, or equivalent work experience required  CCNA or CCP or equivalent work experience  Strong interpersonal skills  Medium to large corporate network infrastructure experience Job Code : 08-0072 Division/Department : IT Travel Required : None Contact: Reference Code: 14
