Director, Soccer and Event Operations

Currently hiring for 2009: Director, Soccer Event Operations to organize logistics for soccer events, coaching camps and tournaments. Successful candidate will report to the VP for Operations. Candidate will 1. Manage soccer events across North America2. Run business operations and hire additional staff as required3. Manage staff, customers, and logistics for events4. Work with staff to improve company product offerings5. Create internal business processes and manage budgetsThis position is an intense soccer operations position for a soccer fanatic that has strong organizational and inter-personal skills who is looking to build a career in business management through soccer. Candidate may be exposed to international soccer culture and commerce, Position involves substantial travel.Candidate must demonstrate- Excellent event management experience- Ability to manage multiple events- Ability at logistical problem solving - Demonstrated ability to manage people - Excellent general business knowledge / savvy- Understanding of and experience in business operations management- Enjoy being around people, and be diplomatic- Comfortability in customer service situations- Lifelong love of soccer- Must be highly motivated self starterExperience in the U.S. soccer industry, and event management is a define plus.
