Security Account Manager

Starting pay: 32K annual salary

Experience: Some management and supervisory experience preferred

Education: High School Diploma (Some College Preferred)

 

Day & Zimmermann Security Services is currently seeking driven, highly motivated individuals to serve as a Security Account Manager at one of our client facilities in Rocky Mount NC.  This is an excellent entry level position for anyone looking to begin a new career in security management or for an experienced security practitioner to start the transition from operations to management.  Qualified candidates should have a good balance of technical and human relations skills and will perform the following duties. 

 

Operational Responsibilities:Ensure that Day and Zimmermann payroll is completed weekly and that hours are accurate. Audit Day & Zimmermann billing invoice for accuracy.  Take immediate action to correct any discrepancies.  Forward correct invoices to Client’s Global Security management for approval and payment. Review all HITS reports for accuracy and appropriateness. Design a work schedule that meets Client’s Security needs. Obtain officer uniforms and ensure they are professionally worn at all times. Be mindful of uniform conditions and promptly order replacements. Perform Safety investigations as needed for potential workers compensation claims. Provide security statistical data to Client’s Global Security management for review.   Report significant statistical trends if discovered. Understand the site security system (access control, video, and local alarms) so that alarm response is appropriate. Reinforce the investigative efforts of Client’s Global Security by either initiating or assisting in investigations. Supplement officer coverage when necessary to ensure contractual obligation to Client is met. Submit suggestions for the improvement of Global Security’s policies, practices and systems which would ensure the most efficient operation of the organization.

 

Human Resources Responsibilities:  Identify candidates for hire. Review applications and select qualified applicants for further review. Interview qualified applicants. Administer Wonderlic test. Schedule drug screening and background investigation for final candidates. Make final offer. Complete all new hire paperwork. Recommend officers for Day & Zimmermann incentive program benefits as applicable. Complete performance evaluations in a timely manner; ensure officers are given raises when identified milestones are met.    Routinely conduct meetings with entire staff to address performance issues and to disseminate information pertinent to the successful operation of the security department. Ensure that officer separations are done professionally and all Client and Day & Zimmermann procedures are followed.

 

Training Responsibilities:Complete all state, Client, and Day Zimmermann training requirements within required timeframe. (Each state has unique training requirements.  It is the site manager’s responsibility to consult with Day & Zimmermann regional management to comply with all state licensing requirements.) Ensure officers complete NC PPS training in a timely manner Deliver Client’s expanded basic training and HIT’s training within 30 days of hire.  Exceptions must be approved in writing by Client’s Global Security Management. Day &Zimmermann Security Services Safety Program must be correctly implemented and maintained.  Support Day & Zimmermann’s safety goals. Conducts additional training at the request of Client’s Global Security Management to Client’s employees and contractors.
