The Route Supervisor provides management oversight and day-to-day leadership of the armored or ATM crews reporting to them. The Route Supervisor is responsible for the safety, security and efficiency of all assigned routes. The Route Supervisor is responsible for routing efficiencies, maintaining the desired stops per hour for each route, and ensuring that obstacles that keep a route from achieving these efficiencies are removed. Specific Job Duties: Ensure smooth uneventful, un obstructed truck runs. Assist and implement reroutes as necessary. Monitor run efficiency by conducting regular evaluations for route efficiencies. Apportion work assignments among armed crews. Implement, enforce, and monitor safety and security policies into service delivery methodology to insure a safe and secure work environment. Evaluate the suitability of each crew member to perform his or her duties. This evaluation should include equipment, training, appearance, and attitude. Evaluate vehicles for cleanliness and working conditions. Manage field inspection program by directing the work of the armored vehicle crews, inspecting and reviewing field operations, making recommendations such as areas needing improvements and effectively recommend disciplinary action in writing as necessary. Assist Branch Manager or his/her designee in satisfying staffing requirements such as participating in the interviewing of job candidates and effectively recommending the hiring and ensuring the proper training of new personnel. Assist Branch manager and Sales personnel on the development of new accounts and maintenance of existing customers. Provide other management support as may be directed from time and to be available to work flexible hours. Maintain a good working relationship with all branch employees and keep in constant communication with the Branch Manager on matters pertaining to the branch. Handle incoming service requests by negotiating with customers and working internally to proactively and reactively resolve customer issues and requests. Ensure and maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction through exemplary Customer Service. Manage process by which the productivity and efficiencies of assigned runs are monitored for timelines and accuracy and make effective recommendations for promotions, additional training, or disciplinary action as necessary. Prepare monthly reports, and perform tests and audits as directed by management. Manage customer relation issues on assigned routes by addressing problems and concerns and obtaining feedback and resolving issues. Other projects as assigned. Skills, Qualifications, Education and Experience Include: Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) Excellent supervisory skills. Excellent customer service skills; knowledge of current customer delivery requirements. Good planning and organization skills Good computer skills (knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred). Good analytical, assessment and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and apply appropriate discretionary judgment on a regular basis. Minimum of High School or G.E.D. Minimum 2 years, preferred 3 –4 years related business experience (including supervisory responsibilities). Demonstrated training experience preferred. Demonstrated experience in truck routing preferred.
