Human Resources Coordinator

Responsibilities

 

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting the HR Director and Vice President in all aspects of the department (recruitment, new-hire implementation, interviewing, employee relations), as well as for overseeing and/or facilitating various special projects independently. The HR Coordinator serves as the principal liaison between the community and the corporate office for HR related issues. The HR Coordinator plays a key role in workforce administration and often will serve as the primary contact for newly hired employees.

 

Responsibilities will include: Coordinating recruiting, reviewing resumes, conducting telephone screens for business lines to determine most qualified candidates, forwarding qualified candidates to hiring managers.Participating in recruitment activities (i.e., career fairs, college fairs, open houses, etc.).Serving as the principal contact for newly hired employees; including processing new hire paperwork, coordinating required medical testing (i.e., PPD, physicals, drug screens), inputting background checks to appropriate agencies, and ensuring compliance to government and organization recordkeeping requirements (i.e., I-9)Assisting in responding to employee relations issues in partnership with appropriate line manager/supervisor.Facilitating in staff development programs, including new employee orientation. Completing special projects as assigned.Maintain all of the HR Department's records in accordance with corporate policies on business records retention and federal and state laws governing records retention.Assist HR team with various departmental projects such as Open Enrollment, HR audits, merit reviews, etc.Maintain a superior level of confidentiality regarding all compensation and employee relations issues.
