Executive Director – Northwest US Region (based in Seattle)
GENERAL SUMMARY
Provides leadership to the Andrews International client base and operations across the Northwest Region of the United States; reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. Ensures delivery of quality services. Manages operations efficiently and effectively to achieve revenue and profitability objectives. Initiates the acquisition and integration of new business in Andrews International core service areas; uniformed security, consulting & investigations, personal protection/threat management, special event security, disaster and emergency response and training.
Oversees and directs new client transitions. Implements client satisfaction drivers. Coaches, trains, and develops account managers, supervisors and other employees. Promotes client and employee retention initiatives. Full profit & loss responsibility for multiple operations; manages payroll, HR, accounts payable and receivable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
· Along with the Company’s other executives, serves as a member of the company’s senior staff.
· Ensures the delivery of high quality customer service through regular contact with clients; evaluates service quality and initiates corrective action as necessary.
· Coordinates service requirements with management; resolves operational issues; supervises staff engaged in providing payroll, accounts receivable and payable, HR, and other services.
· Analyzes operational and financial indicators to continuously improve operation’s performance; ensures profitable operations with full profit and loss accountability.
· Meets regularly with client representatives for status updates and addresses any actual or potential problems; negotiates client contracts in coordination with the COO; supports/oversees client start-ups.
· Responsible for identifying, prospecting, developing new contracts according to set regional/national sales objectives.
· Oversees the acquisition of high caliber staff in collaboration with local account needs and corporate management; plans, assigns, and directs work; coaches employees to enhance skills; carries out disciplinary actions as necessary.
· Develops and administers budget in collaboration with corporate management.
· Maintains a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures; acts to ensure that staff members understand and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
· Authorizes appropriate expenditures including equipment, supplies, and procured items to support business objectives.
· Ensures scheduling is handled effectively to meet client requirements while controlling labor expense and minimizing non-billable overtime cost; reviews site reports to ensure post orders and client directions/needs have been followed.
· Provides input to company, region and client initiatives; promptly assists in the resolution of legal, financial, human resources, and administrative issues.
· Performs additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary in order to achieve assigned business objectives.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND NECESSARY SKILL SETS
The successful candidate should possess the following:
· Bachelor’s degree and/or 10 years leadership and management experience to include: supervision of personnel, development and implementation of business plans and long range strategic goals to achieve quality service and projected growth in profitability. Additional relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education.
· Experience in a corporate security leadership role in a major corporation and/or experience in the public sector at the federal, state or local level
· CPP board certified or other industry recognition ( preferable)
· Strategic thinker who has the vision and skills to grow the business and achieve client satisfaction
· Highly developed analytical skills and knowledge of the industry and buyers of our services.
· Ability to coordinate several initiatives at the same time.
· Knowledge of business operations management, sales cycle/closure and human resources administration.
· Use of personal computer and spreadsheet software.
