Territory Demo Manager MN, WI $40K - $45 K

Job Summary:

The Territory Demo Manager is responsible for hiring, training, managing and scheduling a team of part time sales demonstrators to conduct weekend sales presentations in pet specialty retail stores in order to achieve sales of dog and cat food by gaining conversions for life

Territory:

Encompasses Minnesota and Wisconsin. Required work includes two to three weekends per month.

Responsibilities include:

• Recruit, hire, manage, train and motivate demonstrator staff according to company procedures, policy and employment law.
• Plan, develop, implement and deliver demonstrator training and development through demo meetings and weekend work with’s.
• Conduct quarterly demo meetings in all major markets.
• Maintain and develop a team of around 90 demonstrators and address all sub-standard performers.
• Manage and maintain staffing to budget and schedule target days and times in 125 to 150 accounts.
• Prepare and distribute a monthly schedule to all demonstrators in a timely manner.
• Manage, maintain and review all weekly and monthly reports.
• Communicate regularly with demonstrators and establish and maintain effective working relationships with all Nutro management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable giving group presentations and facilitating both group and one-on-one training.
• Must be adept with multitasking in a responsibility based management environment.
• Prior People-Management and Sales experience is useful.
• Must be very proficient in Microsoft Office 2000 or later particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Publisher.
• Must be adept in use of Internet and email.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to spend two or more nights away per week and work two to three full weekends every month.
• Must be able to create a home office environment and work very non-traditional hours.
• Pet ownership and/or experience is a plus but not required.
