MANAGEMENT TRAINEE PROGRAMOverview
Kroger Mid-Atlantic offers a 17 week Management Development (MD1) Program.This program consists of in depth training in all departments, including overall operations of a grocery store atmosphere. Each candidate will be assigned to a store to complete each phase of training. Upon the successful completion of this training program he/she will then be assigned to a store as a Co-Manager. The primary focus of this candidate will be to effectively adhere to company policies and procedures; to ensure that he or she contributes to the best financial interests of the company; to provide exceptional customer service, keeping in mind that our customers come first in everything we do. Essential Job FunctionProvide an atmosphere that allows and encourages associates to focus on their primary job of serving our customers. Understands and is committed to our “Customer 1st Strategy” and the implementation of our “4 Keys”. To develop the knowledge, performance capabilities and skills that are necessary to be proficient entry-level Kroger Co-Manager. Supports and embraces the need to develop our “Great People” into future company leaders. Support an inclusive business culture. Ensure customer service at expected levels and address customer’s concerns.
Desired Qualifications/ExperienceTwo-year degree or commensurate supervisory experience. Excellent decision making abilities. Effective written and verbal communication abilities. Leadership skills. Ability to motivate and inspire. Ability to plan, prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment. Prior customer service experience a plus.
