Project Manager - Food Manufacturing Facility

ABM Janitorial Services, Inc. a national facility/janitorial services company, is currently seeking a local, onsite Project Manager to manage its food manufacturing facility in the San Antonio area.

 

JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Oversees the supervisors and is responsible for the ABM operations at a specific site. Manage the work within the appropriate budget requirements and work closely with the customer as a liaison between the customer and ABM operations. Work with any customer issues as well as employee relations issues.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

· Responsible for overall site management and daily inspections of work locations.

· Direct and supervise scheduling of work load adjustment with appropriate Supervisors at the facility.

· Make sure proper staffing levels are maintained. Dispatch route personnel for replacement work or special assignment as necessary.

· Responsible for ensuring effective hiring and training of personnel in proper working methods and procedures.

· Ensure personnel are following all established safety procedures and report any work related injuries or safety issues in a timely manner.

· Follow up on all completed work assignments and return completed assignment to the originator.

· Be aware of the fundamentals of good personnel management and ensure facility is in compliance with all State and Federal guidelines as well as ABM policies.

· Ensure payroll processes are compliant with ABM procedures and FSLA guidelines.

· Audit staffing and labor.

· Perform all other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Education/Training:

High school graduate or equivalent GED.  Training in the industry or building management field is preferred.

 Job Experience: 

Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a Supervisory position, preferably in the food manufacturing environment. 

License(s):

Valid State driver's license.

Language/Communication Requirements:

Excellent communication skills are essential.  Must be able to read, write and speak English.  Spanish literacy skills desired.  Must possess good interpersonal skills.

Computer Skills:

Word and Excel computer skills required.  Must be able to write basic business documents in English.
