Job Purpose

¨  Supervise customer service and other office positions, including payroll for the division.  Serves as an internal consultant to managers, advising them on employee relations, legislative changes, current trends in human resources management, etc.  To participate as an active member on local leadership team.

 

Essential Functions

¨  Supervises day to day operation of Customer Service Department and support staff.

¨  Support key clients / business partners will all functional areas of Human Resources

¨  Confers with management to identify current and future staffing needs

¨  Recruit, pre-screen and log job applicants / coordinate new hire paperwork and orientation

¨  Implement, update, and maintain human resource policies and procedures

¨  Coordinate payroll and track PTO and vacation time

¨  Prepare and submit periodic operating reports

¨  Proven ability to resolve complex problems by leveraging business / HR knowledge and client relationships

¨  Track record of developing successful client relationships / business partnerships

¨  Resolves difficult customer complaints/issues.  Ensures overall customer satisfaction.

¨  Experience managing multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating a sense of urgency and results orientation

¨  Ability to learn new systems quickly and create improved efficiency

¨  Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to follow-through to completion

¨  Track record of success working at a fast pace

¨  Effective communication, writing and grammar skills, paying great attention to detail

¨  Positive, professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills and will be able to work as a team player

¨  Must be able to demonstrate initiative and be flexible / adaptive to a fast-paced and fluid business environment

 

 

Experience

¨  2-3 years of recent office management/Human Resource generalist experience, with strong leadership and hands-on capabilities in Payroll, Employee Relations, Staffing, Client Service, and Performance Management preferred

¨  Previous supervisory experience preferred

¨  Proficient with MS Office programs; advanced MS Excel skills required

 

 

Licenses/Certificates/Training Required

¨  Bachelor’s degree in Business and Human Resource or equivalent experience preferred

 

Level of Responsibility

¨  Responsible for planning, organizing and controlling all activities of the Customer Service, Office Administration and HR department.  Develop department goals, objectives and systems.
