Junior Compensation Analyst

Responsibilities: Conducts job analysis to determine appropriate salary range and pay grade assignment based on external market pricing and internal equity. Participates in salary surveys and coordinates payment for surveys. Identifies salary surveys that target unique skill sets, as needed. Administers the quarterly Common Review Process and tracks adherence to the annual salary growth budget. Compiles, reviews and submits payroll data. Compiles other types of data in support of various business initiatives. Conducts thorough FLSA analysis of new and existing jobs. Monitors changes to job functions that may warrant a change in FLSA status. Provides incentive administration support. Responds to SOX audit requests. Follows SOX related procedures on a daily basis and ensures that all necessary documentation is obtained. Conducts self audits in preparation for audit requests. Conducts research in support of various Compensation projects, such as the annual salary structure review and salary increase budget recommendation Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of experience performing Compensation functions, data analysis or financial analysis Excellent analytical, organizational, financial research and communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Demonstrated professionalism with the ability to apply appropriate judgment and maintain confidentiality associated with sensitive employee data Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
