VP of Engineering

Reporting to our Executive Vice President of Minerals, this individual will oversee all engineering efforts, maintain reserve data and calculate reserves for Forestar wells and interests, and prepare economic cases and advise on risks. 

Expectations: Provides reserve estimates on existing and proposed well Provides risk estimates Provides economic analysis for decision making Recommends drilling and completion oversight of company owned interests Provides Proved Resource estimates for SEC reporting Manages the ARIES or similar engineering database

Minimum Requirements:Education Level College degree, post graduate degree preferred

Experience Minimum 10 years prior relevant experience as Sr. Engineer or Engineering Manager in oil and gas industry ARIES Engineering System, and/or other reserve and economics systems experience Good organizational  and time management skills Outstanding written and oral communication skills to include professional phone etiquette Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment Strong attention to detail Proficient in multi-tasking Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) Experience with handling confidential information with sensitivity and professionalism.
