Regional Human Resources Manager

AvalonBay Communities Inc., an award winning national real estate investment trust (REIT) that develops, builds, and manages multi-family housing, is seeking to add a professional, dynamic seasoned Regional HR Manager to our existing team.

The position will provide support to associates and managers in both our San Jose regional office as well as our properties in the Bay Area. Qualified candidates will have a proven track record in employee relations, employment law, compliance, recruiting, change management, training facilitation, and performance management plans. Ideal candidate will have experience in the retail, hospitality or real estate industries.

AvalonBay is a fast-paced organization that requires associates to be self-starters with a high tolerance for ambiguity and shifting priorities. The position requires a college degree, 7+ years solid experience in all HR disciplines, excellent communication, influence, relationship building and PC skills. This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources.
