Contribution will be noticed and advancement rewarded accordingly.Experienced Intern Architects and Registered Architects that are interested in a change from the standard architecture firm career path are highly encouraged to apply.Desired Qualifications: · Must possess a 4 year degree in one of the following backgrounds · Educational background should be in either: engineering, construction management, or preferably architecture · Years experience: 3-10 years, no more Our client is a professional real estate consulting firm providing services to nonprofit and for profit organizations for over 20 years. The services include project management, real estate development, facility management, strategic planning, and property management.Description Our client seeks to hire a Project Manager to assist in executing all aspects of building projects for their clients and for their own portfolio of investment properties. The successful candidate will have around 5 years of experience in the building and real estate development industry and have an architectural, engineering, or construction background. Typical project types include renovations, expansions, and new construction. Since most of our client’s projects are located in the greater Washington DC area, experience with local development is very important.Candidates must possess a high degree of competence with spreadsheet software, such as Microsoft Excel, and must be proficient with project scheduling and word processing software. Experience with job cost accounting software such as Timberline is desirable.The Project Manager will report to the Director of Project Management but will also work with the firm’s principals and with other staff members on collaborative efforts. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Competitive benefits are provided, including medical and dental insurance, paid holidays and vacation leave, and employer contributions to a SEP-IRA.Duties The Project Manager will be responsible to perform tasks including but not limited to: · Oversight of program development and design processes · Procurement and management of professional consultants, contractors, and vendors · Oversight of construction progress, project close-out and post-construction start-up · Establishing and maintaining project budgets, schedules, etc. · Leading meetings with consultants/contractors, maintaining and distributing minutes · Coordination of responsibilities among consultants and contractors · Oversight of regulatory approval processes · Involvement with neighborhood groups and other community stakeholders · Assistance in evaluating project financing
