Executive Vice President Human Resources

Provide HR leadership for one of the country’s fastest growing commercial real estate firms. Hartman Income REIT is preparing for an IPO and the successful candidate will be an active participant in the creation of our strategic plans and provide guidance and counsel as a key member of our leadership team. Identify and address business requirements and support the development and implementation of corporate Human Resource strategies and programs.
Responsibilities:Plan, direct, implement, and oversee human resources activities such as recruiting and selection, compensation, benefits, training and development, employee relations, performance management, compliance and communications.Ensure all personnel administration and compliance is accomplished, such as administrative processing (new hires, terminations, promotions, leaves of absence, etc.), personnel files, AAP/EEO, ADA, OSHA, and other related programs.Experience in formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures. Knowledge of computerized information systems in general and those used in human resources applications with the ability to evaluate procedures and technology solutions to improve human resources data management.Current knowledge of employment law and State and Federal employment-related regulations and statutes.Development skills capability, the ability to identify and evaluate talent, understand organizational requirements, skill gaps and the ability to develop skills and capabilities.Ability to proactively assess/diagnose problems and identify appropriate organizational interventions across businesses.Promote positive environment, coach management on effective skills, ensure positive employee relations.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
· Strong PC and IT skills required.
· Minimum of 5 - 7 years of relevant work experience.
· Ability to create and maintain a productive work environment with appropriate communication and involvement by all staff members to ensure effective departmental operations.
· Challenge and coach managers to achieve superior results on key human resources issues and productivity. Acts in a consultative role to achieve these results.
· Change agent with the ability to implement change across all levels of the organization.
· Adept at conflict resolution, influence capability, teamwork skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster positive attitudes toward Company goals; build high commitment.
· Analytical self starter who meets commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
· Ability to diagnose and provide template for aligning HR roles, structure, and competencies.
· Proven skills in planning and administration; well-organized and systematic in approach to work responsibilities.
· Excellent communicator with a clear sense of urgency. Professional written, oral and presentation skills.
