Including yours. * As ranked for 2006 by Inside Mortgage Finance (Feb. 2, 2007)© 2007.Bookloss Operations Analyst I Primary Responsibilities Include:· Performing quality and Compliance Audits for the Foreclosure, Bankruptcy and Real-Estate Management Division· Managing a reduced portfolio of the lowest risk-exposure loans· Ensuring that all actions taken during the Foreclosure, Bankruptcy and Real-Estate Management processes comply with internal, Investor and state guidelines· Ensuring maximum financial recovery· Consulting with the Business Units to identify risk and/or loss exposure· Developing procedural recommendations· Auditing Default and Liquidation processes for all FHA/VA/CONV loans and Real-Estate Management transactions to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations· Reconciling financial transactions to ensure maximum recovery· Preparing monthly reports on monetary losses due to curtailments· Identifying and reporting areas of financial risk and exposure· Reviewing exceptions in the bookloss tracking system and bookloss population A Successful Candidate Will Have:·High school diploma or GED· Strong verbal and written communication skills· PC skills—-including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access · Ability to display entry-level decision-making and problem-solving skills· 1+ year(s) of Foreclosure and/or Bankruptcy experience· Knowledge of basic Accounting and Finance principles · Detail-orientation· Strong analytical skills· Ability to multitask and prioritize The Ideal Candidate May Also Possess:· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field (and/or equivalent experience)· Mortgage Banking background· Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) Countrywide is committed to leveraging the talent of a diverse workforce to create great opportunities for our business and our people.
