Online National Sales Manager

 

Dallasnews.com currently has an opening for an Online National Sales Manager. This position will be responsible for the coordination of national and major account online sales; accountability for national representation of DallasNews.com with and through Belo Interactive Media, Newspaper representatives and managers and online account executives assigned to the major retail and national categories; local market sales development projects that help drive local and national revenue. Candidates must be able to meet and exceed sales revenue targets by monetizing The Dallas Morning News’ network of leading websites with large retail and national clients. In addition, this position will be responsible for managing select local sales projects designed to boost overall interactive revenue. This position will also work with sales leadership to coordinate online sales programs to achieve plan.



Job Requirements: - Exemplary sales competency with national direct and agency accounts - Ability to evaluate and work through various sales channels - Strong critical thinking skills - Ability to hire, educate and lead sales people - Exceptional collaboration and communication skills - Communicate product benefits to sales teams - Great teambuilding skills Skills and Qualifications - 2-5 years of sales management experience with a proven track record of success. - 2-5 years of experience selling interactive media. - Experience selling to national agencies and advertisers. - Exceptional presentation skills - Ability to pace and forecast revenue activity - Demonstrated ability to use market research to aid in decision making. - Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. - A good balance of strategic and execution skills. - Confidence and comfort in selling new products. - Strong problem solving ability. - Demonstrated ability to sell ideas to senior management or key customers. Education: B.A./ B.S. required
