DescriptionSUMMARY: This position will perform all duties dealing with banding, strapping and wrapping of product. Will also be required to properly load and unload trucks. . Prior experience operating a forklift is desirable. These skills will enable the plant to provide a high quality product and efficient service to our customers; as. well as a safe work environment for our employees. RESPONSIBILITIES * Operation of a forklift in a safe manner. * Strapping and wrapping of product skids * Clears the balers as needed * Conducts all required housekeeping duties. * Conducts daily inspection and maintains the oil, battery and tires of forklifts * Responsible to know and follow plant safety rules. * As required, troubleshoots lift trucks to include: low oil, fuel and water. * Responsible for understanding and performing the following: * Performs post skidding operations including strapping, banding, wrapping and compressing. * Responsible for understanding and performing all the following tasks: o Unloading trucks o Loading product on trucks o Use of the loading ramps Required Experience* Must have at least 3 years experience operating a forklift. * Able to demonstrate reading, writing and arithmetic at the high school level. * Able to obtain and maintain a company lift truck license. * Able to lift 50 lb. and roll 300-4200 lb. paper rolls * Have manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination. * Able to work cooperatively with a variety of individuals.
