Litho Operator
Thorough knowledge of and skill in the operation and maintenance of high speed multi-color presses and in-line finishing equipment. Responsible for setting up and maintaining close registration throughout production processes; in preparing plates and selecting appropriate paper stock, inks, plow folds, die cutting and gap cutters. Produce a quality product at maximum press and finishing speeds.QualificationsA high school diploma or the equivalent in education and work experience is necessary. Knowledge of litho printing, in-finishing and imaging preferred. Must be able to read a docket and understand the construction of the order. Must have good basic math skills. Measurement skills by usage of a ruler are required. Must have basic mechanical ability. Must have ability to read, comprehend what is read and visually inspect written materials to check for quality and specifications Must be able to discriminate colors to compare to specifications. Ability to lift under 50 pounds frequently and over 50 pounds occasionally is required. CRT or keyboarding operation experience desirable. Current or previous experience as a production team member having familiarity with product breaking, tying, and bagging, basic imaging, and basic press/finishing equipment makeready and clean-up is preferred. Color assessment will be given to all candidates.
