Internal Auditor
Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc., (CNHI) located in Birmingham, is presently recruiting for an internal auditor to join its Audit Team. The successful candidate will conduct audits, reviews, investigations and special projects at company owned facilities and the corporate office. This includes assessing business risks, planning, scheduling, performing and reporting on audits, evaluating internal controls and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, laws and regulations.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; 1 to 3 years of audit and/or accounting experience, including general computer and spreadsheet skills. High ethical standards and excellent communication, customer service, report-writing, and interpersonal skills are required. Certified Internal Auditor candidates are preferred. These positions require travel of approximately two weeks per month on average, with no weekend travel.
