Human Resources Manager
Responsibilities:§ Develop and facilitate strong business relationships with management on a wide range of human resource matters including, but not limited to, employee relations, performance management, employee development, disciplinary issues, terminations, morale, recruiting and compensation.§ Review current and future business needs to identify operational efficiencies and determine best practices. § Provide management direction and support to HR administrative staff.§ Assist in the development and administration of work force planning, including staffing planning, diversity needs and succession planning. Design an overall recruitment, selection and placement process in conjunction with the fall and spring needs of the Plant.§ Optimize the HRIS capability through reports to managers, trend analysis and automation of processes for the HR staff.§ Conduct employee training including design, selection, delivery and management of appropriate training and development programs.§ Develop, recommend and administer human resource policies and procedures to support division and company philosophy, culture and strategic goals.§ Administer base compensation policy programs and procedures for non-exempt and exempt personnel.Advise managers dealing with a broad range of legal requirements including worker’s compensation, state and federal wage and hour laws, fair employment, OSHA and unemployment compensation.Qualifications:§ Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Business Administration or HR Management, Masters Degree in Human Resources or MAIR preferred.§ Minimum of four years Human Resources generalist experience in staffing, training, compensation and employee relations issues.§ Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.§ Manufacturing experience preferred.§ Solid working knowledge of broad human resource functional areas.§ Proficient in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of HRIS programs.§ Leadership skills indicative of an ability to articulate ideas, delegate, direct, motivate and train staff. § The capacity to interface effectively with all levels of the organization including.§ Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.§ Ability to develop and recommend sound business and HR strategies that support company growth. Ability to propose and manage change based on needs of the organization, changes in law and strategic efforts.
