Desktop Publishing Specialist

 Job Responsibilities:Using original magazine media, you will redesign the layout of magazine articles to the appropriate page length, removing ads and other miscellaneous items and adding customization like magazine logos, customer logos and permissions lines to create a reprint.Contact customers regarding the layout of the reprint to obtain proof approval or corrections that need to be made.Provide creative layout ideas to internal sales representatives as well as to the reprint buyer.May create reprint advertising to be used in magazines or in conjunction with other promotional materials.Requirements:1-3 years of desktop publishing experience is preferred.Thorough knowledge of Quark XPress, Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop in a Mac operating system environmentA basic knowledge of printing processes and requirements is preferred
